A well built, massive shouldered and muscular wrestler Vijay Singh, could defeat any other wrestlers. He had a weakness and he was often troubled by his boastful nature.

One day, after drinking many glasses of milk, he proclaimed that he could teach a lesson even to a stout ghost. The listeners reacted differently; some gave their acceptance while others had an apprehension to what he said.

One of them suggested he to visit the haunted desert and there he could surely meet with a ghost. Travelers were looted and killed. He took it upon himself to find a ghost. He was told to take road journey to Jaisalmer which was ten miles away and the landmark was a black rock.

He set out for the haunted desert. An eccentric old woman gave him a small packet containing an egg and a lump of salt. However, Vijay Singh did not know the utility of these things, yet he moved ahead.

It grew dark when Vijay Singh reached the haunted desert. He was called him by name and pretended to be his friend Natwar. By then, Vijay Singh realized that it was a ghost. He was detested at all but called him to size him up.

When he showed off, Vijay Singh declared that he was just a ‘plain lying ghost’. The ghost was stunned at his behavior; otherwise, people got scared and were amazed to hear that the man wanted to meet a ghost.

When he asked the reason of his lookout for a ghost, Vijay Singh called him stupid. Vijay Singh told him that he wanted to fight a ghost as he was tired of fighting with men.

The ghost tried to demoralize him by saying that he did not seem to be that strong, so Vijay Singh challenged him to give a demonstration of his strength.

The bird told him about the past experience. The king and the rishi discussed that a person or animal’s behavior depends upon the environment. First bird behaved as he grew in the company of thieves. Whereas, the second bird grew in the company of a saint, therefore, learned the best behavior.

The females breed together and their kitten are raised by the whole group inside an old termite mount or hollow log. One or two male adults guard the whole group.

Camels :
Camels usually live in small groups. They have long shaggy winter coats to keep themselves warm. A thirsty camel can drink as much as thirty gallons of water. It can survive on the moisture of desert plants how thorny it may be.

The single-humped camels are known as Dromedary and the two-humped camels are called Bactrian. The humps are full of fats and help them to survive for days.

He told her that he would invite monkey for a meal. Monkey agreed to crocodile’s proposal. He asked crocodile to take him home on his back as he did not know swimming at all. In the middle of the river, he revealed the truth. He told him that his wife would eat out his heart.

The monkey realised the danger still kept his cool. He made an excuse that he didn’t bring his heart along. He then persuaded him to return to the tree to bring back his heart.

When the monkey reached at the river bank, he jumped on a branch and threw some fruits for crocodile’s wife. He broke the friendship forever. Crocodile was disheartened for losing his friend and went back home quietly.

Then, the king asked him about the iron chest. The people were also eagerly waiting for the box to be opened. The governor with a smile on his face, asked his servants to open the chest.

To everyone’s surprise, an old blanket was taken out of it. Everyone expected it to be filled with gold or silver jewels. This revelation was shocking and surprising to everyone.

On asking the reason of carrying a blanket, the shepherd replied that it is his old friend and will always protect him. He said that the blanket would be with him even if his royal robe was taken off.

His humility and wisdom pleased the king and shunned the jealous governors. The king rewarded his honesty by making him a Governor of a bigger state.

Realising the grim situation, Ray pulled out a fifty-dollar note from his cash box and handed over to the man. The man was obliged and seemed contented as the watch was overpriced.

He wrote that he would come to take back his watch and wished Ray. “Merry Christmas!”.

The Christmas message of peace and brotherhood is spread by Ray and his goodwill is experienced by the two men.

The boy witnessed the win of mongoose by its swift actions. He killed the snake. It dragged the snake into bushes, Myna followed but all its efforts go in vain so it flew away.

All this tempted Rasheed to try his luck as well. He took consent of Bhaiya and bought 6 discs for 25 paisa. Firstly he won two pencils and then a bottle of ink. These things were of little value. Although the shopkeeper purchased them.

With the hope of winning a big prize, Rasheed went on trying his luck. The onlookers gave him looks. Some were sympathizing with him and for some he became a laughing stock.

When the uncle arrived, Bhaiya informed him an about the incident. Uncle smiled and ignored everything. He bought him an umbrella, biscuits and sweets and other gifts.

On insisting, Uncle revealed to him how he was be fooled by the shopkeeper and he also advised him to keep everything to himself, otherwise, people would laugh at his foolishness.
