He has realised his mistakes and is excited to go to the school and to spread Alien’s message to other children of eating nutritious food and not watching T.V. continuously for long hours. Chocolates in Your Dreams Too Summary in English
This play is about a woman, Mrs Dev, who visits a confectionary shop accompanied by her son Gopa. He bullies his mother to buy him a particular chocolate or he would create a scene. The shopkeeper pleads to her to buy the chocolate for him as he is merely a boy and offers to give him a chocolate. But Mrs. Dev refuses saying that it is not the question of a chocolate. She wants Gopa to develop good habits. The shopkeeper gives the chocolate to the boy. Mrs Dev purchases bread and butter and walks out of the store. Mrs. Dev tells Gopa that she will not buy anything for him next time. He runs on the road and escapes getting hit by a cyclist. Mrs. Dev tells that she wants him to be a happy, healthy and wise boy. They go to buy vegetables and when his mother is far behind, he thinks that his mother does not want him to eat chocolates probably, because she didn’t see chocolates in her childhood.
Gopa’s mother scolds him for watching TV for long duration, continuously and tells him to switch it off and go out and play. He makes excuses that he has no friends to play with, where is the playground to play? She tells him to do his homework. He says that he is going to Raja’s house to play. He calls out to Robot Roma to bring his ball but his mother scolds him to do his work himself and not to become lazy. He comes home after sometime and tells his mother that he had played a video game at Raja’s house. He calls out Roma to fetch him a glass of water.
But his mother scolds him to do the domestic work himself. He thinks that his mother and the generation of her did a lot of hard work, so she wants him also to do it. He thinks that he has so many facilities at his disposal then why he should work?
Gopa was sleeping and dreaming. Suddenly he wakes up as an alien comes out of his pocket and becomes a boy of his size and introduces him. He tells him that he studied about human beings and their world. He asks Gopa if he has courage to listen what he is going to tell him about his life. Gopa admits affirmatively. He tells him that his life would stop functioning within five years because he is living irresponsibly. They had been monitoring his activities and that is the conclusion of their report. They include microbe sized instruments in human bodies to conduct their surveys. The alien tells him that he has developed bad habits. He does not take meals on time. He eats junk food instead of nutritious food. He tells him that chocolates contain a metal in large amount which causes brain damage and sugar causes various ailments like diabetes and other diseases.
