The Chameleon
The chameleon is a strange looking lizard that moves very slowly. But this slow movement is only to befool its prey. It can actually catch and swallow its prey in one twentyfjfths of a secondi The chameleon is also famous for changing its colour according to the background, making it impossible for people to spot it. It changes its colour with the help of special colour cells on its skin. These cells can help it look green, brown or beige, according to the surroundings. Another surprising feature of this creature is that it can move its two eyes independently in any direction. And when it spots an insect, its tongue, which is almost as long as its body, shoots at an amazing speed and catches the prey and pulls ¡t into its mouth in less time than it takes us to blink!

The Geese and the Tortoise
Two geese and a tortoise were good friends, They lived in a small lake in 3 jungle. But as summer approached, the lake started drying up The three friends were worried as they could not live Without water We must leave this place and go to some other lake, said the first goose I know there a lake at the other orner of the jungle Let us go there’ replied the seir goose. But the tortoise was upset after listening to this and said, ‘I cannot fly like you. How will I go there?’ The geese loved the tortoise as a true friend and immediately thought of a plan. ‘We will hold a stick ¡n our beaks from the two sides. You hold it in your mouth from the centre. And then we can all fly together.’ ‘But remember,’ warned the first goose, ‘you must not open your mouth or speak anything or else you will fall and die.’ The tortoise agreed. So the geese and the tortoise flew up in the sky as planned. On the ground below, some people saw this sight and started making fun of the tortoise hanging on a stick.
