Punctuations include Capital letter, opening and closing double inverted commas, comma, full stop, question mark, exclamatory mark, etc.
- Students must closely observe whether the sentence is in the direct speech, to include necessary punctuations within the double inverted commas.
- A sentence within quotations begins with a capital letter and ends with a full stop, question mark / exclamatory mark after which the quotation closes.
- Proper nouns begin with a capital letter.
- Apostrophe to show possession [owning] or contraction [a missing letter].
- First-person T should always be a capital letter.
