Dear Sir,
Subject : Request for inaugurating ‘Jagriti’. project of our school.
It gives me great pleasure to inform, that the literary club of our school is launching a special project called Jagriti, which will be managed by the students. This special project is the brainchild of our benevolent Principal, for educating the underprivileged children of the nearby slums. It would mould their lives and make them good citizens, thereby – fulfilling the objectives of ‘Jagriti’.
Under the project, the students from eighth class onwards, will provide free education to the poor children of the surrounding slums. The Principal has consented, to make available a few classrooms after school hours, for this project. We will also provide free educational aids, like stationery and refreshments, to motivate them to join the programme.
We would request you to kindly spare some time from your busy schedule, to inaugurate the ‘Jagriti’ project in our school on the 2nd of October at 10 A.M. There would be a cultural programme, presented by the school students, followed by a painting competition by the new students of ‘Jagriti’. Your esteemed presence and blessings would inspire us in this noble cause.
